Book 3 – Becoming a Family

Douglas Richard Harrington III “Tuggie”
Douglas Richard Harrington III “Tuggie”
Tuggie was born in Yorkshire, England to his parents Douglas Richard Harrington II and Elizabeth Anne Merriweather on July 4. The sun was coming up when he was born. His mother and father were joyfully surprised as they had been married many years and had not had any pups yet. Tuggie, as he was called, was always sweet natured, yet adventuresome. He was a very good son to his loving parents and their only pup.
Demitasse Delfine
Demitasse Delfine
Demitasse Delfine was born on February 14 in Paris, France.  Though a happy pup, she always knew there was more to life than watching the world go by from her families’ basket.  Her parents, Roland and Marice Delfine, hope to come to The United States one day and be reunited with their daughter.
Liberty Belle Harrington
Liberty Belle Harrington
Liberty “Libbey” Belle is the daughter of Douglas Richard Harrington III “Tuggie” and Demitasse Delfine. Her twin sister is Dolley Rose Harrington. Libbey loved animals. Any animal that was stranded or hungry knew all would be well if they could just get Libbey’s attention. Then they would get her love. She would find scraps of food for empty bellies. She would find safe spots in wood piles and warm spots in happy barns. There her grateful animals would get healthy and sound. Then, when the time was right, Libbey would give them a brave hug and would nudge them out on their own.
Dolley Rose Harrington
Dolley Rose Harrington
Dolley Rose is the daughter of Douglas Richard Harrington III “Tuggie” and Demitasse Delfine. Her twin sister is Liberty Belle Harrington. Dolley loved to know. If words were written or spoken, Dolley was fascinated. She hid books under her bed when no one was looking. Then, as soon as the day was done and fires lit, Dolley’s head was curiously in those books. But never completely, Dolley’s ears missed nothing the older pups said. She remembered everything and repeated not a word she heard. Dolley’s many thoughts were happiest when she kept them quietly in her very own head.
